SMX, which in my humble opinion, is the best show on search engine optimization is coming to San Jose next week.  As someone who teaches SEO, I get lots of questions about the show. Should I attend? Free Food at SMX San Jose: Don’t Miss (the Conversations)

First of all, don’t miss the free food! That’s the best session (and I’m not kidding). Why, well, first the food is free, and it’s actually pretty good. But second, don’t be shy. Sit down next to total strangers and ask them why they’re at the show, what sessions they are attending, and why. I find you can learn as much (if not more) from the other attendees as from the show organizers and speakers. So, don’t miss the free food and be sure to touch base with others… They may a) feel your pain, and b) have some tips, tricks, or insights on Internet marketing that will be invaluable.

Finally, don’t miss the wrap-up session on the last day. It’s a tradition, and sometimes some important Googler like Matt Cutts will show up, and they’ll identify what they saw as the major industry trends or themes. So stick around to the end, and be sure to go to –
