Searching on Google Is Easy. However, Advertising on Google Is Not

If you want to carry out a search for something on Google, it is as easy as pie. You just pop your question or whatever into the search bar and – whack! 0.072 seconds later, up comes the answer. On average, Google handles 3.8 million searches across the world every minute! That works out to 5.6 billion a day!

Google Advertising

However, if you want to advertise on Google to all the people who search on Google every day, that is a whole different kettle of fish. Of course, you can advertise on Google whenever and however you want. That’s how Google makes it’s money.

But here’s the problem. When you advertise on Google, you pay for clicks. And those clicks can work out to a lot of spondoolicks. The average cost per click is $1 – $2, but some of the more expensive clicks can cost upwards of $50, $100, or even $300. That’s per click. Regardless of whether that click earns you anything. Google doesn’t care very much what happens after somebody clicks on your link; they say they do, but in reality they are more focused on what makes them money (clicks) than you money (conversions). Not entirely, but still…  “follow the money.”

The Costs Can Mount Up

Even at a dollar a click, the costs can mount up quickly. If you are paying, say, $50 a click you are probably advertising something like legal services, and gaining a new client could be worth $1,000, $10,000, or even more. So, 50 bucks is not a bad deal. Even so, you may have to pay that several times before that person becomes a client, because not everybody makes a decision on the first visit to your website.

If you are only paying $1 a click, you may have to have a lot of clicks before you sell something or get whatever other result it is that you want. Then there are always people on the Internet who spend all day fooling around and click on links just to see what they are all about. They have no intention whatsoever of buying anything! Does Google care? Answers on a postcard, please!

This is why advertising on Google is such a minefield. In turn, it is why you need an expert in Google advertising to advise you. Indeed, an expert with one of the best-selling books on Google Ads for 2022, might be a person you would want to talk to.

I am an expert in Google advertising, and I can help you spend your budget wisely. You need clicks that are going to convert and take whatever action it is that you wish them to take, not idiots who have no intention of spending any money. Indeed, I am even an expert witness on Google Ads if you’re in need for a fact-oriented expert witness.

So, you need to advertise in the right places on Google – and on other social media such as Facebook. In fact, it might be that Facebook, or Instagram, or LinkedIn, are better places to advertise your wares than Google. But as an expert on Google advertising, I can help you get the results you want from your ad spend.
