Unless you have been living under a rock, unconnected to Facebook, you will be well aware that Facebook has been having its’ fair share of problems recently, what with fake news and the decline of organic reach. It has also been accused of enabling people to meddle in elections, among other things, and has been working hard to restore its’ reputation.

Facebook is still a vital marketing tool.

However, that doesn’t alter the fact that it is still a VERY large social media marketing platform and provides many opportunities for businesses to reach out to a huge market – IF you know what you are doing.

It’s a bit of a Catch 22 situation, because if you don’t know what you are doing you can spend a small fortune on Facebook marketing and lose money hand over fist. This is why you need a Facebook marketing expert like me, Jason McDonald, on your side, because when it comes to Facebook, I DO know what I am doing. That is because I have been engaged in online marketing since 1994 when Mark Zuckerberg, and Eduardo Saverin started Facebook from their college bedroom along with three other Harvard College students. (As an aside, most people have either forgotten or never heard of Saverin, but he hasn’t done too badly for himself, now living in Singapore and reportedly worth $8 billion). I am a Harvard Graduate, in contrast, and I make a pittance. Go figure. It always seems like the Harvard drop outs like Zuckerberg or Bill Gates do better than those of us who finish like Al Gore and Me… Oh well.

Many Ways To Take Advantage of Facebook for Marketing

There are many ways to take advantage of Facebook (and Instagram, which is owned by Facebook), including ways which don’t require a business to spend vast sums of money on advertising. In fact, as a Facebook marketing expert myself, I can tell you that there are plenty of ways to benefit from Facebook marketing without spending a cent. That is, unless you count your time.

Yes, you can join groups that are related to your business and you can comment on other people’s posts, make your own posts, and get people to join the specific group or groups that you have set up yourself. However, the problem with all that is that it takes time. And the more groups that you have and the more posts that you make, the more time it takes. That’s partly because when you make a post in a group, somebody might actually reply! Then you have to keep an eye out for that so that you can reply to their reply, and so on. Meanwhile, you are actually trying to run a business with all of the day-to-day effort and time that involves. This can be difficult, but it is essential to make sure your business grows. Some people might even buy Facebook likes on their posts to make sure the post gets boosted and shown to more people. That is a key part of marketing, making sure that more people see and engage with the posts.

However, some businesses might not have time for this. This is why you need a Facebook marketing expert such as myself who knows my way around Facebook and knows the best way to get sales by using it without spending a small fortune or hours posting and blogging.
